Each cake stand is unique and is made from vintage ceramics. I carefully source china plates in coordinating colours and patterns and use quality chrome fittings to finish them off
These were my first cake stands, that I made for a craft fair in December 2011.

Welcome to my blog

Call me old fashioned, but I like nothing more than a nice cup of tea. I also like my tea with a bit of cake. I've been known to eat the cake straight out of the packet or straight out of the oven, but more often than not I find the time to put it on a nice plate and give it centre of attention for 2 minutes before it gets scoffed.

I like making things too, and recently I was asked to make things for a craft fair. I'll give my husband the credit for the idea of creating cake stands. He's a very nice chap and knows a few things about things and he reckoned it wasn't going to be that tricky. So the hunt for loads of lovely plates started, and I don't think it's ever going to stop.

I had a great time making the cake stands, so I decided I'd keep it going, as so many people said nice things about them.
